Deaconess Guest Hotel,, ,You Ever???

Has anyone ever stayed at the guest hotel, I am 1 hour and 17 min away from the hospital, and Dr C say's I must stay there a few extra days for safe measure. If anyone has any info regarding their stay please comment. Also, there isnt a microwave or fridge, so I will have to take cooler, I wonder if they allow you to bring a small hot plate to heat up broth? It would help not having to go down every time to get this , and does the hospital furnish anything while we are up there, like SF popsicles, Cant keep those froze in a cooler,, Any Ideals?? i stayed in the hotel. u can go down to the cafateria and get what u mostly want. while i was there i only had broth, and watered down juice believe me u won`t want much more then that and i had a cooler for my juice and u get ice on the 7th floor and there do have a mircowave also on the 7th floor. and i lived 3 1/2 hrs away lap 7/19/04 -47 lbs

Jackie, I had surgery there last week and stayed in the hotel afterwards. Nice rooms. Twin beds, tv, dresser with mirror and table with chairs. Ice as the previous person said, can be obtained on the other floors and microwave too. I had hubby mix up my jello and put them in containers that would fit in our IGLOO cooler. Had him bring water and PROPEL too. I just lived on jello, water and Propel while I stayed there. Nothing hot seemed to appeal to me. I did overhear Dr. C. say something to Erin about how the cafeteria was to get the SF popsicles but they hadn't yet. Might want to check with Erin to make sure they have them. Good luck! Beth
