Dr.Spier

I would like any information from anyone who has used Dr. Spier, I have heard great things about him. I was wondering what his self-pay is? Also any information from his patients who had insurance would be appreciated, as far as hospital stay, complication rate and any other information, thanks!

I went to see him. He only does open and I wanted laprascopic rny. I thought he was a nice guy and is very reasonable for self pay. He is a no nonsense type of guy but he seems very competent. One of his nurses has had the surgery and she looks great (Robin maybe?). Anyway, I decided not to go to him but only for the reason that I want it done by laprascope (my sister had it done by lap and has done beautifully). By the way, I'm self pay also. My husband is changing insurance on Nov 1st so that may change, if not I'm either going to Indy or Barix in columbus after the 1st of the year. Hope this helps you

Harmonie, a real good friend of mine had the open RNY by Dr. Spier a little over 2 years ago and has done fantastic. He's lost over 200 pounds and didn't have any complications (that I know of). We work together and he has the same insurance, so I believe his insurance paid for all of it. The insurance company is United Health Care. I'll let him know you're asking. Good luck! Lani
