Hi Dr Curry, Well I have found out that you are in our network...BUT the hospital is NOT. Do you go to any other hospitals?? Our plan is Medical Mutual Super Med Plus. I'm afriad I am back to square one...darn it !! Thanks for all your help and answers. Cindy

Well that's just nuts Cindy. Why would they cover a surgeon and not the facility where he practices? These damn insurance companies get quirkier all the time. Good luck to you!

Cindy, A bit of good news, I also have MMO Super MEd Plus, I called them and told them the price of Dr C surgery, and told them about the network thing, I asked them directly how much difference would the cost be. It was unbelievable,, out of network it was around 1700 out of pocket, if i stayed in network it was 1500. Now that made my decision.. What is 200 some odd dollars when you have the doctor of your choice. Good Luck Jackie C
