What do you think?
Anything I want to. It's those little things that get ya. Like painting your own toenails, heck, even seeing your own toes...fitting in a movie seat, buying regular size clothes, then getting home to find out the size your got was TOO BIG!!! That's an awesome feeling!! Wearing a two piece bathing suit and having a tan on my BELLY!!! WOO HOO!!!
I out last my family members now...EVERYONE of them. Isn't that a hoot! I wear out my teenage daughters shopping, now that folks, is an accomplishment.
The special one is having my daughters tell me they can "Hug me all the way around". aaawwww
I look forward to everyday, not dread it. I can handle the "bad" days much better than I did before. Those are even better than some of my good days when I was obese.
This is an awesome tool. Just start making your list pre ops because you can and will be able to do the stuff that dreams are made of.

breaking gravity with out breaking your bones, the floor, the chair....
Valerie, You are my inspriation for the summer. A two piece bathing suit! I just want to look good in a one piece. You rock. It is hard before you have had surgery to even begin to think of all the things you will be able to do. The best thing is the waking up and feeling excited about the coming day. You are so right. We were truely blessed.
Aw shucks! Thanks!
We are blessed with this. What a great tool!! I wished I knew about this years ago, but you know, there is a time and place!
And it's our time and place now! You know, I wore my two piece with pride this summer, loose skin and all. Of course, I have my own pool, but dagonne it, I have waited all my life to do it!!
Lovin' every minute of it!
There are so many things that I look forward to after losing the weight. Some of them I have been able to acheive, but others that I WILL later.
1. Go anywhere that I want to. - A year ago the only place I ever got to go was to the doctor or church. - Now I go anywhere and everywhere I choose. (Thanks to public transportation)
2. Walk - A year ago I couldn't walk from one telephone pole to the next. - Now I walk at least two miles a day.
3. cleaning my house - I used to have to sit on the floor because I couldn't bend over to pick up anything. (And then try to figure out how to get off the floor.) - Now It may take me a few hours to get it done but I can clean my house. (Today I was able to clean the tub for the first time in about three years. This may sound gross but others have helped me, and today I did it myself.)
4. stand up to do dishes - I have to sit down because I can't stand the pain in my back and legs.
5. Drive a car - I have a driver's license but I can't fit behind the steering wheel - One of these days I WILL.
6. Get smaller clothes in the neighborhood thrift shop (I always get stuff for my daughter but I don't ever look for me because "fat people need to keep their clothes until they fall apart." That's what my dad used to tell me) - When I started I wore a 6x.- I wear 4x now.(And some 3xs) - I WILL be able to get MUCH smaller clothes.
7. The thing I look forward to most of all is traveling. The ladies from our church are planning to attend an international convention in October of next year in Dallas Texas. I look forward to buying ONE ticket and flying with my friends to enjoy a wonderful convention.
