What do you think?

I was just thinking that I spent a very physical hard work day. When it was over I had the energy to go out with my husband and have a great evening. A year ago that would not have been possible. I would have come home and put on my pajamas and gone to bed. I thank God every day for this new chance at life. So now for my question, What is the thing you are most happy to be able to do now? Or for the pre ops what are you most looking forward to doing after the surgery? For me it is being able to shop all day and keep going into the night. I went to a local festival last Saturday. I shopped and walked all day. Walked about 3 miles back to my car, and still had the energy to go to the mall with my son. So what are you doing now after the surgery?

I am pre-op, will find out tomorrow if it is a go. I like sports, I am looking forward to playing in a volleyball league, swimming, social outings, concerts, shopping and the ability to walk from one end of my office building to the other without shortness of breath and sweating.

Martha, Good luck to you with the surgery. When are you scheduled? I still have a way to go to be able to play on a sports team. I am thinking about taking a water aerobics class. That is a big deal to me to be seen in public in a bathing suit. Best of luck to you. Deb

I want to run. We have a local marathon in Cinci in May and I want to run in it. 26miles. I've been able to stop smoking and with my surgery . . . . My date is Oct 26th. -V

Valerie, WOW, I am impressed. Good luck on such a great goal. I am behind you with support anyway. I don't think I could walk 26 miles and I know I could not run them. Congratulations on the smoking accomplishment. You should be very proud. Please keep posting and go for the gold. Deb

I am still preop until Nov 10th, but I would love to play with my 3 1/2 yr. old without getting tired so quick and her realizing I don't feel good. Also just to be able to go places with my husband and not be embarrased and to feel good about myself. Watch out world I'm coming!!! lol

I'm still just considering the surgery. But, the thing I would love to do most is go shopping. I haven't been into any stores in over a year. I'm too young for this!

Connie. It is almost your turn. You must be so excited. Keep using that positive energy. It really does work miracles. My husband is having a rough way to go just keeping up with me now. Good luck on the 10th. Keep us posted.

Hi Margo, How great to have a lap. My first time I really felt good about the weight lose was a day I sat down and crossed my legs at the knee. It was the first time I had done that in years. Keep up the great job. You are looking amazing. See you at the support group meeting next Monday.
