I'm taking my app. package to Dr. Martin Tuesday 10/12/04

Hey everyone, I am mostly a lurker but have been getting a little braver lately - so this is my first post. Everyone is so nice here - please bear with me as I am so nervous about the surgery, nervous and excited at the same time. Anyways, I FINALLY got all my paperwork together and so tomorrow I'll deliver the whole mess to Dr. Derrick Martin's office. My big issue is, if I can't have the surgery in 2004, I'll never be able to afford it any other time, because of having other surgery this year I am at 100% OOP with my insurance - otherwise I'd never be able to afford it! So I know I'm asking a lot, but please say a little prayer for me. Thank you so much! Kitty

Kitty, I lurked for a couple of months before I started posting on the message board too. Don't be shy - most people on here are very kind and understanding. We're all going through the same struggle, fear, and excitement to begin our new lives. Best of luck to you getting your surgery scheduled. I, too, am waiting for a surgery date and I know it is frustrating. If you have a need to get it done this year, be assertive and keep on them. I'll send up a prayer and lots of positive thinking that it works out the way you want it to. Take care, Nancy
