I have been on this board for awhile but I was thinking of having lap band I was denied because my insurance has an exclusion. I have since changed my mind and feel that the RNY would be best for me I need the malabsorption and I think the dumping syndrom to keep me honest. Since insurance won't pay I have been doing alot of research and found the WISH center. I was wondering if anyone on this board has had surgery through them? They finance long term and that will make it easier for me. I have my first appointment on Oct. 25th I will be driving from South East Tennessee to Springboro Ohio but it will be worth it if everything works out and I have the surgery. They use the Middletown Hospital. Is it a good one? Lisa

Dear Lisa, The Wish Center is awesome !!!!!!!!!!!! They are all great and the staff is great!!!!!!!!! That is where I am going, Preop on November 15th, and surgery on Dec 6, 2004. (God willing, and insurance pending). Dr.Schofield is wonderful and I have had friends who have had Dr. Singh do theirs also. The place is amazing and everyone is so friendly. Be prepared for 8 weeks of diet and exercise prior to surgery. That is what I am doing now. 30 min/dayX6 days/week. It is alot of work, but the payoff is worth it. Email me with any ?'s you may have. Good luck!!!!!!! Chrishelle Monroe, Ohio
