How long do you have to wait before driving after lap? Can you have the protein that you buy in the can on full liquids? Why do you need kitchen thongs? Why do you need wipes in the hospital? I know I am asking some dumb questions, but I need to know.

I had open but I'll try to answer the best I can. How long do you have to wait before driving after lap? I had open and was driving in about 10-14 days. As long as you are off pain meds. Can you have the protein that you buy in the can on full liquids? Each doctor is different, you need to check with them. Why do you need kitchen thongs? Think about going to the bathroom. If you can't turn much you will need something to help you wipe. I picked up some very long ones at the dollar store, then tossed them when I didn't need them any longer. Why do you need wipes in the hospital? Same reason as above. If you don't want to get chaffed the wipes really hepl instead of using dry tp all the time. I know I am asking some dumb questions, but I need to know. NO THIS ARE NOT DUMB QUESTIONS. I have found the only dumb questions are those NOT ASKED. We're all here for you whenever you need us. I am not sure I am understanding the protein in a can question. I had lap rny, but we do laps at OSU and I am trying to learn more about them as well. Do you mean, can you have those? Or what kind can you have? If I am understanding you right, yes, you can. Take care and good luck! Valerie

You can have those, absolutely. Watch the sugar amount, and try to get the whey protein types. Premixed brands are usually thinner in consistency than the powder forms and you can get a little more in with those. Just depends on what your tastes are. My hubby used the powder GNC brand, still does and loves it... ew, I don't like that and I stick with the premixed stuff. Actually I drink the Carb Countdown milk as one of my protein drinks. You can always do that and add some protein powder to that to give it a boost. GOOD LUCK!! Valerie
