cleveland center for bariatric surgery
anyone else dealing with ccbs at st vincents? just wondering if they are any good. i am trying to get an appeal approved with ther help of them and wondering if they are good at appeals. I have medical mutual. Also anyone had their surgery there? any comments on the hospital or staff would be greatly apprecieated thanks Stacie
Yes I am with the center and it depends on who the doctor's assistant is as to whether the response is timely. I like my doctor, but his assistant sometimes needs some fire put under her. If you call she does not call back. They have the best reputation in the country so I will not go anywhere else. Keep in touch. I am sure you will be approved.
Stacie,
I am currently in an appeal with svch. My case worker is Latonya Riley. I have everything the insurance is requesting for the appeal so I will just wait and see what happens. Latonya said that it is getting very hard to get approved through medical mutual. I dont know what is going on.
Good Luck,
Marlo
I am 6 weeks post op from st v's. My working was also Latonya...you just need to keep calling her and double check on everything...but it will get done...i did not need an appeal done as my insurance approved me in 3 days after they FINALLY recieved everything from latonya....but I work for a dr office and do know that Med mutual sent out a memo stating that alot of their plans were no longer paying for the surgery especially plans through smaller companys....but keep at it call st v's freq and call your insurance freq....sometimes bugging them helps get things moving faster.....check out the appeal site on this forum also will help..good luck and keep fightinng the good fight...it is well worth it....also st v's is great...the staff at the hospital were the best!!!! I am a nurse also so I can be very critical but they were great and dr ben'meir is wonderful!!!! good luck Barb
