Hello all, I will be moving to the Dayton area within the next couple of months and really looking forward to it. In fact next weekend we will be going up for the weekend to go look at apartments or a house to rent. I am being transfered to the Dayton Airport area. Any help on anything would be greatly appreciated. I have a Big dog which is a minus for a rental facility. Looking forward also to any support groups in the area. Lise

Welcome!! Ohio is a wonderful place to live. I live in Columbus, so I can't suggest any support groups in your area, but I'm sure you'll find a nice one! I have to tell you that I love your profile page. The Betty Boop devilish thing is just adorable! Angela

I recently moved from Ohio to Florida! So while I'm dealing with getting hurricane supplies, make sure you buy a good shovel and rock salt!

Thanks for the advise. I heard that there is not much snow in Ohio. Is that true? Welcome to Florida, "The Sunshine State" OH sorry, it should be the "Hurricane State". Good Luck and be safe. Lise

15 years in the Cincinnati area, and you don't know what the weather here is like from minute to minute. "If you use your heat and air conditioning in the same day, you live in Ohio." I can remember April 2002, Friday 72f then Saturday 4" of snow. This is not a one time deal either. Recently it went from 89 durring the day, to 49 at night, and now 80s days, and 50's nights. Jobs out here are not the greatest. Companies moving out of country (as my wife's is, and how I lost one of mine), or shutting down (the last job I had)... Im currently unemployed, but having surgery Tuesday! People don't know how to drive... And other than that, Im a little east of Cincinnati, so Im in the boon docks (thats what I loave about Ohio, its quiet, and a nice lake, fishing, my boat)... But we are looking to relocate to Florida next year... Darrell

FYI, People in Florida drive worse than people in Ohio...a lot worse!

We moved here in '98 and it was still 79 degrees in November that year. We didn't know any better and expected that every year, of course, that same year it was below zero by Christmas. Go figure? LOL
