Hi Vickie! My name is Stacie and I live in kent, ohio. I'm at the appeal stage of my WLS. My ins( med Mutual) denied me initially du to not enough non surgical attempts. I am 33 just had my 14 wedding anniversary last tues and have a beautiful 12 year old daughter

Hi Stacie I am so glad I didn't have to appeal, I wish you luck and sending prayers your way. I'm just in the well ok medicaid, re-write MY APPROVAL to state the surgeons name not my PCP's. Then I get my date! I told the dietician at my surgeons, here's a basic rundown of my failures at trying to loose weight, Lucky for me, it was enough! Good luck and God Bless.. and DON'T GIVE UP!! It took me about 5 years to finally get an APPROVAL and a surgeon that wasn't going to leave before my turn. Thank you Dr. C!

Hi everybody! My name is Bobbie and I'm from Chillicothe. I am 26 years old and engaged to a wonderful man, Chad. Right now I am just seeing my family physician and dieting on my own. I have lost 15 lbs. this month!!!! So I am pretty proud of myself. But my doctor has mentioned wls to me, and I have been doing research to find out all of my options. And I must say, I am learning alot here!

I am not a lurker really. I have no problem talking or posting, however I rarely have the time. I jump on when I can and spread as much love as I can when I get the chance. I travel a lot so sometimes I have to go almost a week without my Obesity Help Family. Anyway, I could not pass up the opportunity to introduce myself to all our lurkers! I'm Cheryl I have two children, Courtney is 14 and Rhyleigh is 2 I had surgery August 15, 2003 and I have lost 205 pounds.

Hello! I'm Cherrie I live in Columbus and have been married to my wonderful husband for 11 years. We have 2 sons..11 years and 19 months. Oh and I'm Angela Nelson's husband's Aunt Hi Angela I had an open RNY on 2/13/04 and have lost 124 lbs! I'm feeling wonderful..not really any problems to report. They say I have a small hernia but it's not problematic at this point. I would like to lose about 40 more pounds but I'm COMPLETELY happy if I dont lose anything else at all! It's been totally worth it! I feel WONDERFUL! Good Luck to all of you
