Postive thoughts for Tammie
Hi guys,
A friend of mine, Tammie Miller, is back in the hospital. She had surgery the same day as my hubby, but has been plagued with problems. Mostly nausea, dehydration, 2 stricture openings and now it looks like she is going to possilby have the old gallbladder out.
I think she could really use some prayers or positive thoughts right now. She is kind of getting a little on the depressed side. She's been in the hospital 4 times since her surgery and she just wants to feel good. Doesn't want to eat, can't get enough fluids in. No fun.
Thanks guys, I sure do appreciate it!

VAl,
Prayers and good thoughts are going out to Tammie right now. Hope you can post soon that she is feeling better and on the road to recovery.
Don't you think it would just be easier if they took out our gallbladders when they did the RNY ? So many people end up having them out within a year or two of post-op anyway.

Thanks Nancy! I will tell her tomorrow.
Actually no. It adds to the degree of difficulty for the sugery, plus adds another internal wound, more potential for risks and infection. If it is ok when you have the surgery chances are it will be ok later on. Now, I do know that if you have gallbladder disease already, that most surgeons generally take it out when they do the RNY. It is an easier procedure if you have the open, but not as easy with the lap.
It's kind of a person to person thing to.
Thanks again tho for the good thoughts. I know she's tired of being in the hospital and tired of feeling icky! I will check on her tomorrow.
