Im approved!!
Hey OH Friends,
I am happy to report that I have approval from my insurance company for Open RNY. I also had a consultation with my surgeon on today and before I get a date I must be seen by a cardiologist for test. Reason being ... in 1999 I had very high blood pressure which caused the left side of my heart to enlarge and he want to see if the condition has changed. The cardiologist must clear me before I get a date. The appt. is scheduled for Nov 2, and I will see my surgeon again on Nov. 17 for the final determination. I have also lost three more pounds making my total pre op weight loss 62lbs... which is 29lbs from my short term goal.
I'm not 
not receiving a date but happy about his decision to investigate and I am trusting God that everything will turn out alright for me to have surgery. He did explain that because of my size that he would not be able to treat me like his other patients. I would have to be addmitted a day or two prior to surgery, would be on a ventilator, and some other precautionary measures will have to be taken.
I feel like at this time of my journey I want an angel and I do have someone in mind. Is it appropriate to ask an indivdual or do I just post that I need an angel? Well, I love you guys and thank you for all of your love, prayers and support.

That is, indeed, good news! CONGRATULATIONS on the news and also on your pre-op weight loss. Sounds like you are doing great!
I, too, have to have a pre-op cardiology consult because of my family history. It is one more speedbump in the journey, but well worth it in the long run.
Again, congratulations and we'll all look forward to your getting a surgery date.

Georgie, I am so happy for you. I read your story the other night in your profile. I feel alot of your pain, hun. Good luck in your journey ahead. You will be in my thoughts. As for the angel, I dont see why it wouldnt be appropriate to just come out ask. If you truly feel that person would be an angel to you....then ask them. Thats just my opinion. Good luck.
