Leaks

I am waiting on a date for surgery, and after hearing about PJ's problems with her recent surgery made me full of questions. I have researched and researched for a year, but nothing makes you prepared then the actual event itself. What usually causes leaks? What are some other problems that could occur? Also I wish PJ all the luck and will say a prayer for her speedy recovery.... Thanks Jackie

Jackie, Thanks for the well wishes and prayers for PJ. I wanted you to know that leaks are very rare. It doesn't happen every day. I actually viewed 3 surgeries a few weeks ago, that went text book perfect, by the same doctor, Dr. C. Something Dr. C does, that most doctors do not, is put in a drain so that he can catch and/or see a leak. My surgery was 4 years ago this January. Although I have had other surgeries since, my surgery went well. Don't get discouraged. Things can happen, but it is truly very rare. Sandy Pierce
