Ohio Members get-together thingy
Hi all!
I checked out some different things for us to do to get together and I think I have found something appealing.
Since we have quite a few who are having their surgeries late this month I found an activity that wouldn't cause too much strain. We can plan more get togethers that are physical activity as time goes on.
Many of my friends have gone to the Monday night show and say it is good. This is clean comedy that isn't as racy as some. I personally haven't been there yet, but I think it looks like fun.
They offer the option of dinner and a show or just the show. If we decide to do dinner too we should plan on getting there about 45 minutes early. If we have 30 or more I can get us tickets for $7 (this does not include your meal). That is a $3 discount off of their regular ticket price. There seems to be a good selection of foods to choose from if you are post-op and need flexibility. If you are interested in seeing the menu it is online at:
gofunnybone
make sure you put the 3 w's and the dot and com when you type it in your browser.
Feel free to bring your spouse, lovie or support friend. I think we will have a great time. I look forward to hearing how many of you will be there
Here's the info and directions below. If you have a question please e-mail me. I will need a rough idea as to how many people we will have so I can get us a reservation.
Hugs,
~~Jaimee

October 25th 7 pm ( 6 if you want to eat there) FunnyBone Comedy Club at Easton Towne Center
Bananas Comedy Night
Stand-up has been a staple of comedic expression for decades, and now will be produced in a weekly one hour series-family style. Each episode will feature a nationally recognized comedian (with some up-and-comers sandwiched in) that will "do their schtick" in front of a live audience. The Funny Bone Comedy Club at Easton Town Center, Columbus, Ohio will be the set for this exciting and unique show. Family Comedy, which provided quality entertainment for so many years on television is on a comeback-so this new program will be sure to be a hit! The series will initially be carried nationwide on the Guardian Television Network.
DINNER AND A SHOW

Monday's are out for me, i couldn't do the drive after work, plus our Toledo Support Meetings are then.
That particular Saturday is also bad for me
, got a meeting at work at 9 am, then off to the Pres of the Boards Home for a B-B-Que (can't get out of it)
Either or, extra trips and $ before my surgery are going to be just plain TOUGH!
Besides Jaimee and this is just my opinion if we are going to meet and hang out, it'd be nice if we could just hang out, not with the lights low and us having entertainment besides OURSELVES! Which I know we could be quite an entertaining bunch...

i kinda feel the same way if it's the first mtg for many of us together--i had typed something and deleted it--something more casual and less cost prohibitive...(maybe we are gettin old vickie!)
many of the other groups that have done a get together have doen something more informal- maybe a picnic type setting- or potluck or something so it is less formal--and conducive to conversation...
i noticed that it was our mtg too, vickie!, but i didn't want to use that as an excuse- we just cannot drive that far on a weeknight ( almost said schoolnite!!!) ---
i also know that we have many many things going on up here this time of year- trying to find time to visit with some relatives that are helping us with geneaology;getting the yard ready for winter and a bunch of other stuffs..and maybe moving....sorry- i sound like a party poop!!!!!
however; i do not wish to dampen the spirits of my angelette!!!!! again- i applaud the attempt to get us together---
moi? getting OLD?
yup
Well at my house it is a schoolnight and a weeknight also. Nuther reason the OLD Mom can't do a weeknight.. I'm a single mom (period)..
Some of us are up here in Toledo also that would be interested. South of Columbus would be hard. (imma gonna be in Cincy a lot in the coming months, hopefully pretty darn soon too!)
Mid-state would work best for all, is my belief.

A picnic sounds wonderful. That way we could bring the whole family. Deercreek would be a good place. I can help plan if you need. We would have to do it soon before the weather got bad. Just let me know what I can do. I love the dinner and show idea too, maybe we can do that when we get to know each other better and when the weather is cold. Cheryl
Jaimee,
I, too, am game for whatever. Weeknights are sometimes a challenge, but they're not impossible. It just depends on my husband's work schedule. Anything that works out for the majority of the group will be OK with me. It would be a little easier to talk and visit with one another at a picnic or similar setting, rather than a show when we have to pay attention to the comic. I love fall picnics when the leaves are starting to turn. Thanks for being willing to put something together for everyone.
