Psych Eval- Columbus OH--Doctor Recommendations???

Hi there.. My friend is having her surgery at Barix and needs a psychiatrist to use that will do the eval for them. We're finding that some psychiatrists only do evaluations for certain Doctors which is a problem. If you had your surgery at Barix and could provide me the name of a psychiatrist to use for the evaluation...I will pass it on to her and be MOST grateful Cherrie RNY 2/13/04 -116 Mid-Ohio Surgical Dr. Custer

I used Dr. Kramer at OSU. He is great and I believe he will do an eval for anyone whose insurance is accepted there. He really knows his stuff. Hope this helps. ~~Jaimee

I had mine done on 22nd st at New Hope Christian Counseling, it's not in a very good part of town though, I know they do the Barix, since that's where I got the number from. But on the up side I got in pretty quick, alot sooner than any of the others I called.

Check out Ken Beavers at Cornerstone Counseling Center on Bethel Road or Jolie Brams, who is in her own office on Bethel Road. They both do wls evaluations for OSU. I doubt that they restrict their evaluations just to OSU patients. Ken Beavers did mine and he was able to get me in within a week of my initial call. Jolie Brams does a lot of evaluations, but I'm not sure what the wait time would be for her.
