HELP!!!

Anyone here from Toledo? I need help in finding a Doctor. The one that I was scheduled to have surgery with, has cancelled all of his patients and is leaving town. I cannot seem to find anyone to accept my insurance. Please help me!!! Vickie

Hi Vickie, What type of surgery were you planning on having??? I am from the Toledo area, and had the lapband surgery done at St. Luke's Hospital by Dr. Duckett. If you are looking for the gastric bypass, I believe there is a Dr. White in the area that does that type. There are also a couple dr's in Bowling Green that do WLS. Do not give up, seems like everyone has a bump or two in their weight loss journey. Good Luck ! Cindy

vickie you have email.... what kind of ins do you have?? that is a key? if it is medicaid- go to dr curry in cincy--very well referred by many on this board- yes; it's a drive but you want quality...this is your LIFE!!!! there is another vickie--she is "vickie!"--in toledo area- when she gets online she can tell you a story!!!

If I were you Vickie,I would come to Cincinnati and see Dr. Curry. They are so great and its only 4 hrs away at the most. He is so wonderful and you will be so comfortable in the hospital there, You will have a private room and only need to stay a few days. He is so worth it believe me. I had my lap done 8 weeks ago and there is never a time I cant get a hold of someone when I need them. They are always there for all of us, and like family. Consider him,he is a wonderful and caring man and cute too. Cindy

If your her, your darn email didn't work for me..ha Anyways If your not her, pardon this part of the post I have ohio medicaid and am going to Dr. Curry in Cincy. There are surgeons in Dayton and Cleveland also who accept your insurance. Look at the top of the page and the link FIND A DOC!

There are several doctors at Ohio State University that do gastric bypass surgery. There are also doctors at the Barix Clinic in Groveport OH. Another Dr that I have read about on here is Dr. Curry from the Cincinnati area. I hoep this helps you out.

Hi Vickie I live in Northwood and an 1 week away from my surgery date. The first thing you need is which procedure are you having done. RNY, DS, LapBand? Also insurance isnt that big of a deal if the doctor you want does not accept it. You just need an out of network referal. It complicates things a little but it can be done. If you are having the DS I could hook you up with the contact info for my doc in BG. Dont know about the other procedures but Im sure there are plenty of others here who can help.
