I'm not losing weight
Heather,
Good morning. Let me start by asking you a few questions:
1) How often are you weighing yourself? This should only be done once a week. Wearing of course the same thing each time.
2) Are you keeping up with your food intake? Such as protein, carbs, water, calories, and fat? If you go to fitday.com, you can log everything.
Since you just had surgery a couple of weeks ago, I think you are doing great. How else would you have lost that kind of weight in that short amount of time?
On my website imnotfatanymore.com, Erin the Dietitian, takes your questions. You can send her some menus, and we can figure out how to jumpstart the weight loss. Remember it didn't get put on in a day, it won't come off in a day either.
Don't get discouraged. You are not in a foot race. If I can help in anyway, please let me know.
Love,
Sandy Pierce

Thanks Everybody,
I have been weighing myself twice a week. I wear the same thing each time (nothing but a towel )
I am still on liquids so I am getting protein but my carbs are limited and fat is almost none. I use skim milk for my protein drinks.
I am trying not to step on my scale I want to know if I am still stuck or not. I up my walking time to 45 minutes a day. I hope that will get things going.
heather- i agree with sandy --you are doing well and she has given you ideas to work with--your body is adjusting to the changes and maybe it's time for you to kick up the volume--of exercising --change your pattern alittle- surprise your body--sometimes that is all it takes!
do not be bummed- many many of us have gone thru this same scenario-and most of us are impatient--i think that is inborne!!!!!
I have to laugh because i went through the exact same thing, I remember calling Sandy and saying I only lost 25 lbs in 4 weeks. I dont know what I expected. I am 8 weeks out and 4O LBS down. I have a much different outlook on it now. Your body has to catch up to the body change. We will all be the same at the end. I am real slow but now its ok, you will lose it. You lost a 25 lb turkey and thats a huge turkey. You are doing great, keep it up,Love Cindy
