Question of the day
Hello lovies!
Saturday morning. Ahh but no rest for the weary. I have an Auction coming up in a week and I will be working my tushie off to get the last minute details taken care of so the it will be a success. But first, I have to have a bit of fun so I am dragging my family out to the apple farm to pick yummy cortland apples. I am going to try to make a cobbler using splenda. We'll see what happents with that. Then I have to catch up all of this dreadful laundry that has piled up on me, stain the side panels for the built-in desk I am making, paint the bay window area in the family room. I am going to paint that area a buttercreme yellow. It's going to be so pretty. Then I need to install bike racks in the garage so I can actually park the car in there this winter. (had to thaw and scrape it last year. YUCK!)
So what is everyone up to?? It's Labor Day weekend and the possibilities are endless! Do you have Bar-BQ plans, going to do some home improvement or perhaps sit around and watch a good video you've been wanting to see?
Do tell! I am in nosey girl mode and I would love to hear all the juicy plans you guys have. Just kidding, I'm not really that nosey, but it would be fun to know what everyone is up to.
Hugs,

I'm exhausted just reading what you have planned for the weekend! I'll be working. The mail must still go through. You know the saying....through sleet and rain.....it ought to include "and holiday weekends". I shouldn't complain though, at least I have enough seniority not to have to pull the Christmas Day tour anymore! Have a great weekend!
I have a REALLY FUN fun weekend planned.
NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!
Last weekend I went camping with my son's Boy Scout troop, Hubby was there also. Daughter was at Grandma's with the dogs. OK to make a long story short. We had a FLOOD in our main bathroom. Ranch house so a lot of damage. All 3 bed rooms, hall, linen closet, and living room!!!!!! So we are still cleaning up and getting EVERYTHING out of the rooms so new carpet can be layed. And we have to work around 7 big fans and a dehumidifer from ServPro. They are really loud also so no one is sleeping good at night either.
I was no where near ready to re-carpet the entier house!!!!!!!!
Hope everyone else has better plans than me.

almost there!!!!!!!!!!!
What a major bummer!! Will your insurance cover most of the cost? My parents had that happen in their half bath and had to replace everything. Fortunately it needed replacing anyway and the insurance covered most things. When we go out of town we always shut off the water now because we have heard of this happening a lot. I hope things get back to normal for you soon.
