The public needs to realize the problem we have in Ohio with the malpractice crisis. It is nearly impossible to get malpractice insurance for bariatrics anymore in Ohio. I'm sure this is why many of the Barix guys are leaving, and this is why Dr. Custer left his bariatric practice in Columbus. Another prominent bariatric surgeon in Cincinanti told me he is thinking about getting out as well. wow--i DO understand about the malpractice ins etc--i was afraid that something else was wrong- sorry dr c! dr stelmack was my surgeon and i hope he is able to stay at barix... thanks all!
