Hi All. I am home today. Had surgery last Thursday. Am pretty tired but am trying to drink and walk a lot. Surgery went over 4 hours and I ended up with 2 JP drains. I still have one left in until my 2 week checkup. My only concern is what I am eating and drinking I seem to swallow a lot of air then I burp up a lot of frothy saliva. Has anyone else had that? I am definitely glad to be on the losing side of this journey. I don't sleep well yet. When I lay flat I really spit up saliva so I sleep in a prone position. Good luck to all who are having surgery this week. I will keep you in my prayers. Janet

Yeah Janet! Welcome home. So good to hear from you. I am glad to hear that things went well and you are now on the losing side. My doctor said the frothy saliva is called the "foamies". The only time I had them was when I ate the egg that didn't agree with me. Email me directly sometime when you feel like sitting at the computer.

Hi Janet, So glad to hear that you are home and sounds like you are trying to do the right things. No medical advice from me. I would say if you feel uneasy about things, call the doctor. That is always the best way to go. Keep sipping and walking. Welcome to the losing side.
