I'm planning ahead a little here, so I am wondering what to take as my "wear home" clothes after surgery. What did you find to be most comfortable? A loose track suit thing? Muu muu? Naked? Also, what did you find yourself reaching for to wear most often around the house when you first got home. I'll be staying with my parents at first, and what I find comfortable they may not, so I need some help.

For me I went with very lose fitting elastic pants and lose top for the trip home. Then the Muumuu thing once i was home. I still had one drain tube and I had open so large bandages on that. After the first week home you should be ready to wear 'normal' clothing. I even was wearing a bra by that time. Good Luck, Robin W Dr. Hadley 11/17/03 218/121.5/115

Me too. I took a loose fitting stretch pants and top to come home in. The best purchase I made was a robe thing that snapped up the front. Even though it does not fit any more, I still wear it. Sooooooooo comfortable. Best wishes on the up coming surgery. Positive thoughts and lots of water.

i wore a pair of elastic waist capris and a large t shirt to the hosp and wore same thing home- with clean undies!- and my bedroom slippers- take a few pillows to cushy around you in the car--make a nest! once home i barely got out of my comfy nities--i am lazy and was not working! finally had to give away those nities as i am now smaller and they were falling off the shoulder! i haven't worn anything that zips ( pants or skirts) in so long that i am not sure if i remember how!!! will be trying some things this week.... good luck to you- bottom line - be comfy!

Suzanne, I had my surgery in April so it was still a little chilly (not that it's really warm now so I wore loose sweat pants and a jackets. But, I would wear a loose dress, gown, etc. My lap insentions were still sore. Tandi 246/184/?
