???Question of the day???
Peanut butter. I love my peanut butter. I liked it before surgery, but I just love it now. And cheese. I have to have my daily dose of it. YUMMY
Before surgery, I would have to say ice cream. I was a frequent flyer at Dairy Queen to be sure! Of course my kids loved that! But now, I don't even think about it.
You should be able to eat peanut butter. Have it on some crackers! YUMMY
I didn't try it with bread for a looooong time. Breads don't do well in the pouch at first. Now I can eat 1/2 a peanut butter sandwhich on one piece of whole wheat bread. But for now just slap it on a saltine or graham cracker. That's the bomb. I eat that at work when I don't have much time to get a snack in. Quick, easy.
OOOOH cheese with turkey...yummy. I do that too. I also dip it in a little bit of fat free ranch dressing too. mmmmm
Have you tried mozarella cheese sticks? (string cheese) the lunch meat wraps around that really nicely.
My surgery date is October 8, but I had my gallbladder out 2 weeks ago after a sever gallblader attack. I loved frenchfries and chicken fingers before, but since they took out my gallbladder I can't stand the thought of anything fried (which is a good thing). I'm hoping this change in eating behavior is preparing me for gbs. Shellee
Very good question. My new favorite food is broiled fish. I like talapia, or orange roughy. I was not a great fish eater before surgery. But after surgery fish is the one thing that sits well in my stomach and wow the protein. Lets not even talk before surgery, anything loaded with calories and salt was on my favorite list then.
