Introductions--Roll Call--Sound Off
Hello Cheryl... and the rest of the gang,
My name is Cindy. I live in NW Ohio and had the lap band done this summer on June 18th. I was the largest person my surgeon had done thus far. Surgery went very well. I have lost 44 pounds so far... and am feeling SO much better !! I have a long ways to go .. as I started at 447.... I hope by next week to be in the 300's!! For once in my life... I feel that I am finally gonna lose this weight and keep it off!!! What a relief to be able to think (and believe) that !!!
I have to agree with Ted that the best thing I did this summer was to have my surgery!!
I have two bad knees so my exercise.. which I enjoy doing very much is in the water. I am going 3 to 4 times a week right now, and spending 2 hours at a time in the water. It's so nice to be able to walk, with no pain. (in the water)
I am glad to see people posting on this Ohio board... let's keep it going !!
Have a wonderful rest of the week... and continued good luck to those on their "journey" and good luck to those just starting the process also. It's worth the wait !!
HUGS
Cindy
*ohh and Cheryl.. what a awesome job you are doing with your weight loss.... you have to feel like a new woman !!!
Cindy,
Hi, I'm Becky. Saw your message on the board. Where does one begin the search for doctors or hospitals that do the lap band procedure? I don't think I'm interested in the stapling/bypass thing but from what I read the lap band may be just the ticket. Have had a few abdominal surgeries before and I don't relish another big surgery. Please e-mail me at [email protected] and share your info! Congrats on your weight loss!!
Becky
Hi, Cheryl,
What a great idea - get to know each other better!
I'm Donna and I live in the Cincinnati area (wish I'd known you were in town recently! - could have shown you around). My highest weight was 315 (lost 13 before surgery date) and now I weigh 229. My goal is 140, my surgeon's goal for me is 160. I'm only 5'2" and think 140 is a better weight for my age,(50ish) height and build. One of the favorite things I did this summer is coming up this weekend. My husband and I are meeting friends at a cabin near a nice lake. Can't wait! We'll hike, swim, boat, and just hang out! I'm really looking forward to it. Let me know if you make it back to Cincy! Donna
