great psych in Lancaster
Hello All,
I had my psych eval at the end of last week with a wonderful Dr. in Lancaster, OH. Her name is Dr. Evie Adelman. She is very supportive of WSL patients. She believes that most are dedicated, well informed solid people. She shares our frustrations with insurance companies. She went out of her way to make sure she coded my appointment in a manner that would ensure my reimbursment. If anyone is interested in her number just let me know. I had a complete interview with her and she gave me detailed written reports covering everything we talked about. Also gave me copies of her personal notes from the session. Followed up with faxing all of these documents to my surgeon also. Total cost was $110.00. All that's left now is my final appointment with my surgeon to get my surgery date and that appointment is day after tomorrow. With any luck I'll be having surgery on August 17th.

I agree. I seen Dr. Adelman last year prior to my June, 2003 surgery and thought she was wonderful. I gave her this websites address and she seemed very interested in it. She did the same with me - copies of everything before I left were in my hands and with a $110.00 fee - you can't beat that anywhere.
I'm really glad that you had a pleasant experience with her also.
but I check almost daily--this website is addicting!! I would love to know where is Lancaster, OH

She's great. She does prefer to be paid up front for WLS consults because of the uncertainty with insuranace companies. But like I said, she makes sure things are coded in a way that patients get reimbursed by their insurance companies. But staying within proper/legal parameters.
