Does anyone ever feel a little nauseated more at night. Not terrible but I just wanted to know if I am the only one. 1 month out

Cindy, I am 8 weeks out and I feel nauseated all the time. Dr. Smith told me that the first 3 months you will be nauseated or throw up. Debra French (open rny) June 2nd

I was told in the hospital not to lay flat. to sleep propped up not alot so it is uncomfortable but not flat. try that remember your surgery and the trama was to your stomack so it is going to be upset. are you taking any pain meds? that could be it also. I found out that the morpine drip I was on in the hosp. made me sick here we thoguth it was from the surgery ad I keep getting told it was normal. but I did a test of my own with the morphine and found out it was from that but the nurses said that feeling sick is part of the surgery. I had a great recovery and did not feel sick once I had them take off the morphone but it sounds normal to feel sick for a while after until your stomack heals. so try not laying flat they say when you lay flat that suff sits a bit longer and can irritate your stomack laying at a incline helps move it down wards and out so it doesn';t sit there.
