Can anyone tell me how long it took after you submitted your paperwork to hear something ? I attended the informational seminar on June 9th and mailed my paperwork in the following week. They said the "team" evaluates paperwork the last Tues. of every month. They obviously did not review mine in June, and now I'm wondering if they did in July. Shouldn't I have heard something by now? As you can probably tell, I'm starting to get anxious. I know this is a very long journey, but I'd like to at least merge into traffic and get on the road ! Thanks

Hi Nancy, I am not sure about how long it takes, I do know that I called three weeks ago to get the appointment for the informational seminar, they told me the next available date was for Nov 10 th. Then once I attended that it would be about 3-4 months before the consultation with the doctor to have everything sent in for approval from the insurance company. I thought the wait time was just way to long, espically with the wait from insurance would be a few months. So I decided to go with OSU. Lisa

Lisa, I initially was going to go through OSU and had my appt. already set up for my nutrition consultation. But then I found out my insurance would cover more of it at Mt. Carmel. I agree it is a long time to wait. I'm trying to be patient, but it's hard. Have you started through the process at OSU yet ? Best of luck to you, Nancy

Well, how about that ? I just posted this question and my husband calls and tells me I got my packet from the surgeons today ! Did anyone know that you had to send them $300.00 within 15 days of receiving your acceptance letter ?? What is up with that ? They don't tell you that at the informational seminar --- do they ? I sure don't remember anything about it.

I was at the July info session and yes they did tell us at that one about the 300. it is for all the work that they do before hand that the insurance does not cover. It is applied to some of the charges that is patients responsibility, just remenber that if you do not do what they ask or if you opt out then you only get back half of it. Shelia
