Regular PCP's ??? Any recommendations

I was just wondering if anyone had any recommendations. I am definitely going to be getting a new one. I have been "going to this doctor" for two years now and only actually seen her twice. Usually I am seeing thier doc in training. I am not real thrilled by the conversation i had with her the other day. I broached the possibility of weight loss surgery and she made it pretty clear that she felt to many people were using it for the wrong reasons an that a good diet and excersize program were the end all cure all. So I pointed out I dont over eat, that I actually gained weight on a 1200 calorie a day lowfat diet and that I do belly dancing 3 times a week for 45 minutes as well as walking and doing taebo tapes regularly. She kind of looked at me with what appeared to be a sneer of disbelief and said well why dont you just call your insurance company and see if they even cover it and what thier prequalifiers are. of course the insurance company has said I would most likely be approved based on my weight alone but they cant give me any more info or help me anymore becuase my doctor has to do all the work and paperwork.

Hi Stephanie, I see Dr Hua, at the Family Physicians of Gahanna. His number is 614-471-9654. He is a great Doctor, and he does support having WLS. His office will even call and make an appointment for the surgeon, and anything else the insurance company may require. Not to mention he is great about giving samples on percriptions to save on cost. The office is real good about, after your first appointment, if you are sick they will work you in so you can see the doctor. If Dr Hua is not there that day, they have like 4 other doctors in the office. This is the first doctor I have went to that I actually feel comfortable with. He makes you feel at ease, and does not rush when he is in with you. He relly takes the time to answer all of your questions. Hope this helps, Lisa

I have been a patient at Riverside Family Practice for 6 years the number is (614) 556-5414 Dr. Kelley Clem is currently my Dr. Dr. Clem is the Dr. that recommended WLS to me and I chose OSU for WLS. All that he was required to do he did and he is very familuar with WLS because he has family members who has gone through the process. Nurse Kathy is a treasure and the lab tech gets a perfect some stick on a blood draw.

Hey Stephanie, me again! I go to OSU Internal Med group in Grove City. I love my Doc. Her name is Julienne Hueffner (I may be spelling that wrong...oops) My hubby sees Dr. Prenger at the same place. We really like both docs. And, I can tell you they were both supportive of our surgery. If you are interested let me know. I will get you their new number. They changed it and I don't remember what it is. The old number is 539-2345. You could always try that one. Val
