Praise God you have finally got a date! You have persevered and now your dreams will be coming true! Congratulations Vickie! I am going thru Dr. Bruce and Dr. Clarey in Dayton and they are very good too. Vickie, just one question? Is your pcp on your approval papers? You will need to change it once you have found your surgeon and that might be a little longer wait. That is what happened to me and I am just getting my surgery in before my deadline. Take care, Good Luck and keep us informed! Doreen

Hi Vickie. CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I personally would recomend Ohio State University. Doctor Bradley Needleman. Dr Needleman is the chief bariatric surgeon of the OSU bariatric dept. He was wonderful. I took both my husband and Mother with me to my initial consult the last week of February. During that visity I can honestly say that I have never experienced so much direct attention from any doctor. He set down leaned back and propped his food up on the bottom of my chair. He answered every question we had and explained everything very well, in terms we could understand. Never once did he look at his watch or give any other indication that he was in a hurry to move on. I got the same treatment from him in the hospital before and after surgery, and at my 2 week and 6 week check up. He has a great reputation for his success rate with laproscopic procedures where other physicians can't or won't do. My incisions were fully closed and "healed" before I left the hospital on day 2. A person I work with was still had a full length incision that was still not sealed after 1 year (NOT Dr Needleman's work) I can't say enough good things about him. Oh, I also paid to get a review of him from one of those medical review board sites and he had not had any negative items appear on his medical record and no suits. Good luck!!
