Good luck on your upcoming surgery. Soon you will be on the on the Lighter side. May you have an uneventful surgery and a quick and easy recovery. Remember to get up and walk and sip tha****er. You are begininng a new phase and journey and we will be with you with a pat on the back or a kick in the behind. Whatever you need.

Thank you Jack for your kind words. I plan on doing a lot of walking, my back yard is half a block long. It is huge. So the neighbors might wonder why this big old gal is walking up and down her yard 8 times a day but who cares...LOL I appreciate you and everyone's support on here. God Bless. Doreen

Yay! Finally! So glad to hear you have your date! i would be happy to come visit, however, I have my 3 little ones back at home. The other thing is that I live 2 hours away from grandview. Luckily it is easy to get to! I could call you though and make sure you are up walking and eating your ice chips!! The more you walk and sip the better off you are. I will warn you that it takes a while for the nurses to come to your rescue so learn your bed buttons to help you sit up and when walking you can rely on your IV pole for assistance. Also just FYI your family couldn't stay the night with you anyhow becuase you will probably have a room mate and they don't allow family to stay. My DH had to leave at night, but he was able to stay later than visiting hours. So happy for you! Good Luck! Angela

Glad to see you are up and about! Hope you are healing ok with no problems. I go on Aug. 12 for my pretesting then the 16th for clearance for pulmonary by Dr. Kane. I guess I am gonna be at the hospital all day from 9 am to 1 pm on the 12th. He wants to do some extra testing because of the edema in my legs and a gallbladder test. Ugh! Oh well I am just glad I can get it going. Will send out my last name in email for those who want it to call me while I am there. I appreciate you all doing this for me. Thanks, Doreen
