just a question

i have seen where people have told me that medicaid covers a lot of the surgeries but does anyone know if it will cover the surgery being done at the barix clinic in groveport ? just curious to see before i attempt to submit it there

Hi Tommie, I went to the the top of the page where is say Go Local, clicked there and then clicked on insurers, I think it was on page 19 or 20, but it does show where people with ohio medicaid insurance was approved for surgery. They have listed that requirements are medically necessary. I hope this helps. I will check a little more and if I find out any new info I will post and let you know. Lisa

tommie-have you gone there for initial consult? if not-ASK !!!!! and if you have already been there--ASK!!!! i used the 800 # more than i care to tell you during my waiting! who are you seeing there? i had dr stelmack-love him!

i seen dr.barbara i was actually suppose to see dr.stelmack but he had to go into surgery so they gave me barbara. he was great so down to earth and nice since i've already had my initial consult there and he gave me papers that i need to have some test done i really want to go there esp since that is all they do but i wasn't sure if they would take medicaid or not thanks for the response

I had my surgery done at Barix by Dr. Stelmac an he was great. When I went in for my six-week check-up my cousin went with me and spoke to the representative who handles the insurance at Barix; the rep told my cousin that Barix Clinic does not take Medicaid. I would suggest that you call the 800 number and speak with a rep directly at Barix and let them advise you what they except.
