medicaid
sooo aaarrrghhhhhh why the heck is Medicaid taking their time with me for? aaarrrrrrggghhhhhhhh I'm about to get "real" on some people in this state. My PCP submitted to the insurance co. because that is how we were told it had to be done, I see here there is no "set structure" in the state, this is ridiculous! Now mind you I have visited 7 different surgeons, had 2 consults and 5 yrs later still ain't no dam farther than I was before. (*&*^^%*&%)(*&^^%* I'm calling them first thing monday A.M. and want REAL answers! This runaround is b/s.
Hi Tommie
I'm 2 weeks out from surgery and it was all covered by medicaid.
I have heard that the process (hoops to jump) can be torture through them but I had no problems. I went to the surgeons video seminar in jan and in March I had a physical and so on and so on until I had surgery in Jul. All told it was less than 6 months.
I have heard that you have to have significant comorbidites in order for them to consider surgery.
Good Luck!
Angela

I have noticed that it has covered SEVERAL RNY's but I plan to have the DS done and I so far haven't found ONE person who has had that done in Ohio on the medical card... but if you're having the RNY you shouldn't have any problem...good luck!!
