Puree diet??
I just a book from the library titled Living and Eating Well After Weight Loss Surgery, it seems like it has alot of nice receipes in it. The lady suggests maybe omletes and puree 1/2 - 1 and you can eat it. Also chicken salad with no fat mayo - I understand the trick is to make sure any meat you eat is moist. Did you try the receipe section of this web site? Connie
Baby food is not fit for human consumption. Yech! Glad I only bought 3-4 jars "in case of an emergency". A "must have" for me was my mini-cuisinart! Some simple stuff - Tyson roasted, boneless, skinless chicken breast pureed with Campbell's Soup At Hand Cream of Chicken soup. I also cooked a turkey breast in the crockpot and pureed some of that with the gravy I made. (Had to feed the family, too!) V-8 juice, instant plain oatmeal with lactaid milk. Lite and Fit yogurt, Choice DM, baby juices, cottage cheese with pureed peaches (packed in juice) or pears (packed in juice). If you can find the little snack size cans of fruit packed in juice, they work well. Hope this helps! You herbs and spices to make stuff taste good. Blended doesn't have to be bland!
Good luck,
Sue
Hi Angela,
I found a couple of good yummies that worked well with me and my hubby. Underwood chicken spread. It is moist, soft and tolerated really well. We also make what we call "power pudding" Sugar free pudding and add protein powder. Any combo. We usually do the chocolate with chocolate protein powder, or you can do any flavor with plain whey. Very easily tolerated, and packs a little protein punch. I like the Hood carb sense milk too. Less carbs more protein. GNC makes a rtd whey protein drink that we sip on during the day. Fruit punch is good. I water it down because it does have a stong flavor, but it has a lot of protein too and a great way to get your water and protein in at the same time.
Hope this helps! Good luck!
