good luck tomorrow Susan. Its easy because you will be so drugged you wont know or care about anything. For the two days I was in. I never saw TV or read my book. I was out and you will be so fine. You are starting a brand new exciting life. Its fun to lose weight everyday and not even want to eat. welcome to the losing side. Lots of luck and love, you have the very best Dr.,love Cindy

Hi Roger, I'm in FL noe but just moved from Ohio, where I was on SSI. I orginally got it because of my weight...I was over 500. I was just recently renewed for one year (at least), but this time was also able to provide information about my lymphedema, I had it before but it wasn't diagnosed. Now I am on SSI which is Supplemental Security Income...not the same as SSD. I had never worked enough to have paid into receive SSD. I got SSI first try. Good luck...and keep fighting...I've heard they will deny sometimes but after appeals they will give it. Like they want to see how badly you want.

Hi Roger, I have been trying to get disability for 1 year in August. It has been a long and frustrating road. I have had 2 knee surgeries on the same knee, have DJD in most of my joints, arthritis in knees, back and shoulders, heel spurs in both feet and a list of other medical problems. I have been denied 2 times and now have to go in front of a judge administrator. I have a lawyer that deals with a lot of disability cases and he can't believe that I have had to go this far. He won't let me give up, which I have wanted to do a couple of times. I bet a lot of people give up when they have to go through the long wait. I'm not afraid to go to the hearing because sometimes I can't hardly walk, let alone go back to work like they seem to think I can. It's so frustrating to sit home and not do much when I have worked for 30 years as a nursing assistant. I hope you have better luck than I have. I know people that have gotten approved the first time they applied. E-mail me and let me know how it goes for you. I will pray for your fast approval-Sherry

I was approved for SSI first then qualified for SSD on the first attempt. Weighed 589 at the time and was almost dead ... probably was the contributing factor in my speedy approval.

Dear Georgeann, Every emoyion you feel now is so normal. I never knew I had so many locked away in this body. You will be fine and as every pound comes off its such a great feeling. I have lost 20lbs in 10 days and I feel full all the time. Its not that hard and we all know you can do it. If we all can then anybody can. Good luck, lots of love and prayers,Cindy
