Anyone who has had the Duodenal Switch STOP HERE!!

Hi I was wondering if you've had the D.S. did you have the Ohio Medical Card pay for it? I am planning on having this surgery done and hoping that the Med card will pay for it. TIA!!

I haven't had D.S., but of course I am still pre-op too. and not to rain on your parade, bu I looked at other options besides RNY, but the Dr's that do the other procedures flat out will not even see me, nor take Medicaid. I think the only procedure Medicaid will pay for is open RNY. Don't quote me on that, but I am in the process of hearing from them now. I've been on this journey for 5 years now and keep running into roadblocks. Medicaid of Ohio has had my letter of Medical Neccessity since the 1st part of March and haven't replied to my request yet.
