cost of lap band

Hi All, I was just wondering for anyone who has had the lap band procedure what the cost was. I've talked to several people who have had the lap gastric bypass and have heard a wide range of prices so I was just wondering about the lap band. My insurance covers at 70% so I'm just trying to figure out my out of pocket cost.

The cost of the surgery's are differant if you have insurance no matter what % they pay. I have insurance that paid everything but $100. so far the bills have been around $26,00-$30,000 but a friend of mine paid hers out of pocket because her insurance didn't cover it and her total cost was $18,000 so they charge more if you have insurance. If you call the hospital they can tell you thier costs than ask the dr. for his and that will tell you.
