OK I have 6 days to go and I am so afraid. Not of the surgery but the after affects. I am afraid of the dumping, leaking and everything people say so negatively. Please keep positive for those of us who are just a few days away. This is a very hard time for us and we need good news and upbeat reactions to your surgery. The one who said yesterday all the bad things that happened to her,and she said we needed to hear them, maybe we dont want to. I get so much more from people who dont tell us every little thing.Sorry this is so long,am I right or wrong for those who are soon,Cindy from Cincinnati

I agree with you to a point Cindy I don't want to hear or think of the bad stuff but I also know if I am reading a post and I don't like what a person has to write I can go back and read something I like But I do understand what your saying I have a friend who said she would not change a thing about getting her surgery it has changed her whole life she is healthier and happy she can move now she does things and people are nicer to her now that she is not obese I personally think noting BUT good can come from this surgery

Hey cindy, I want to know everything in order to make my decision. But, once I made it, no I don't want to be reminded. But that is all a part of it. Just do like others and go back over all of the great things to come. You can't lose your nerve now. The hard part is almost over! The waiting! You will be just fine! And the good things do outweigh the bad! Think happy thoughts! Stop thinking so much! PJ wfad

Hey sweet Cindy. You are going to do great. As we have talked about many times on the phone, you have the BEST surgery in Ohio. I promise to be here through your whole journey with you. We have several with Dr. C's office in the group too, who will make sure everything goes great for you. His staff is great, but mostly his hands are. I did great with my surgery nearly 4 years ago, and so will you. To be able to breathe without huffing and puffing is great! I don't have any kind of bathroom issues, or nausea. As long as we get your protein, water, and vitamins in everyday, you will truly succeed. I can hear it in your voice when we talk, just how determined you are to do well. Remember you want to play with your grandchildren a lot easier. Call me today. I will be around all day. Love ya, Sandy

Cindy, I am newer as a post op then Sandi but I feel the same way as she does. You will do great. I had my surgery in April and still remember feeling all of those scary thoughts. The support on the boards here really helps. I can tell you have done your homework, so now get ready for the great experience. Keep reading and take comfort in the knowledge that you are brave enough to make the effort to change your life forever. Best of luck and keep us posted.

WHile many of those things happen, remember you are in charge of your program. Draw upon the positive people around you. You have found a local support group that works for you. Rely on them and you will not have some of those problems you mentioned. I didn't have any problems until this past April. Follow a good routine Prfotein firs****er good carbs and exercise. You will be fine.
