Still on Hold
I am so envious... but still congratulate and pray for all of you who have gotten the "OK" from your insurance providers for WLS. I see even those on Medicaid can be approved. You do not know how lucky you are!!!
We have a so called "good insurance program". But, with the added 2 year dr. charted weight loss "BS" my hubby's employer tacks on - ON TOP of the insurance's requirements... I feel as if I will never have the oppertunity.
I meet all requirements except for the 2 year plus Dr. supervised program... 40+ BMI, high blood pressure (getting higher by the moment!) and high cholesterol... joint pain, back probs...
The WLS place I had talked with will not even submit because they know I will be turned down. they knew this all from the begining and STILL had me come in for a consultation (and pay out of pocket, of course!) and gave me false hopes. SHAME ON THEM!!!
I am VERY VERY depressed and about to give up. We can not pay this amount out of our pockets. And we can not take out a loan for medical purposes.
So... I just may waddle off into the sunset realizing that I am one of the unlucky ones... Funny, someone as with an ass as big as mine has fallen though the cracks of the System.
Hi Deb,
You know me-we were in the same boat with THAT clinic. I really want to ask for my money back-what a con game that is!
Dr. Curry's office submitted my stuff for approval on 6/15/04. So far, no answer yet but at least if I'm denied, I can appeal now.
You hang in there and you'll find a way to get this all worked out.
