I went to see my Dr. last Friday did my bloodwork, went to the Psychiatrist, and it went good, next is the 29th I meet with the dietician at OSU...I was wanting to have Dr. Needleman and have the lap rny, but after reading some of the posts, I have a bmi of 55 but have had surgery 20 years ago, gallbladder, and hysteroctomy. What is the reason for not wanting to do the lap is the scar tissue maybe in the way? Does it matter that it was so long ago? If anyone has any answers, please let me know. I am so excited about this, I was going to BTC, but changed my mind and wanted to be in a hospital. Thank you for all your sharing and support. I love this site!!

I had open at OSU with Dr. Cook due to my high BMI. I felt that most of the pain was from the inside where stuff was done...the incision was not painful. I second you thoughts of wanting to be in a hospital and not just "a" hospital...a hospital with other specialists right there incase something happens there is a cardiologist down the hall, etc. Good Luck!

Donna, good luck with everything! You are in GREAT hands - Needleman is absolutely the best. He did my Lap RNY on 4/15 and everything is great. Down 43 lbs. so far. Tandi
