Body Image UPDATE A DAY AT THE BEACH
Well like the title says I went to The Beach Water park on Sunday. In short I had a BLAST!!!!!!!!!!
I told my daughter last year that if I had surgery and lost weight that I would go off The CLIFF!!!!!
Well yesterday was the day. After doing the cliff all the other rides were so easy. My knees and legs still got tired walking up all those steps, but I was not huffing, puffing and felt like I was dieing once I got to the top.
NOW I can never tell the kids how much fun I had or they will want me to ride everything ALL the time. And going to the beach is also my quite time.
On the BODY IMAGE side. I can't beleive that some of these people go in public in these swim suites. Don't they look in a mirror before they leave the dressing room??? I looked DAM GOOD compaired to some of these people.
Thanks for all the post and suggestions.

Robin, that sounds like a blast.
I can't wait til next year when I can fit on rides better. We always get Kings Island season passes and we went for a couple hours the other night. I barely fit into some of the rides and that was very depressing. I even have trouble fitting through the turnstiles you come through at thegate. I have BBS Big Butt Syndrome.
Who did your surgery? Was it local? I will have mine at Middletown so will be close. Would love to get together and talk sometime. Email me if you get a chance. [email protected] Yes, I am a funeral director. I work in Hamilton at Kowalk Funeral Home.
What really got me is that today, I am burying a young lady (41, my age! that is why I say young) who is overweight and just fell over with a heart attack. Poor thing. Glad I am getting this surgery.

Hey there Robin,
I can totally relate to what you said about the swimsuit thing. I am one that usually keeps my "assets" covered in public places. bELIEVE ME, i HATE WHAT i SEE IN THE DRESSING ROOM MIRROR WHICH IS WHY i HAVEN'T OWNED A SUIT FOR 9 YEARS. Unfortunately I am being OUTED this year. I signed our family up for a YMCA membership yesterday so I could take my kids to the pool this summer. Unbeknownst to me, I was informed that I cannot wear shorts and a T shirt in the pool. It is against their regulations. This wouldn't be a problem if I could sit poolside in my shorts and jus****ch the kids swim. Their rules are that if a child is under 9 and cannot swim without assistance, the parent is REQUIRED to be in the pool with them. I have a 7 yr old a 6 yr old and a 4 yr old. All who cannot swim. Therefore, I was forced to buy a suit. I thought about canceling the membership when I found this out, but decided that I shouldn't punish my children because I am overweight. I just hope they don't feel too embarassed by my ugly body. I am sure there will be people at the pool who are judging me when they see me in the swimsuit and it really makes me sad but what is the alternative? It wouldn't be fair to make the kids sit at home all summer and splash in the baby pool because of my own shortcomings. Maybe someday I can feel like I look better than others too and be proud to wear my swimsuit in public instead of ashamed. Then I can take my kids to a water park like they have been begging me to for years. Congratulations on your achievement! It is great that you could hold your head high as you plunged off the cliff. Sounds like you had a blast with your family. God bless you.

Hey Robin,
Your new picture looks great! I know how you feel about being able to go out to a pool or water park. I had my surgery 3 months ago and I started out in a size 22 and I am down to a 16. I feel so much better about myself. I even went off the diving board the other day. My daughters wanted me to go off the high dive and I told them not just yet! hahahaha
You look great!!!!
Love & Peace,
