Have any of you went throught the phase of thinking that it didn't work because you expected to loss more at faster pace? I am 4 weeks out of surgery and have lost about 20lb. I know they say everyone looses differantly because it depends on how much over wieght you are. my friend had hers 4 weeks before me and had 25 pound off be her first visit at 3 1/2 weeks i only had 14 pounds off at 2 weeks. I know it is coming off but I guess I expected a bigger change. I know I have lost but I feel I have hit a stand still I seem to not see it as much. I always wore big clothes so my clothes don't fit much differant than they did. I guess I am wanted to much to fast. I havent' even hit the point were my doctor will let me work out yet. I walk about 4 nights a week about 1-2 miles plus what ever else I do for walking. And my son wishes I would have never had it He says I have turned into a B--ch. How do you stop that I have knoticed that I am a bit mooder then usually with my kids. How can I stop that before I drive everyone in the house nuts. Rynae

Hello...You seem to be experiencing mood swings which are common within the first 6 weeks after surgery. This is due to your brain adjusting to "missing food" You'll get through it. Exactly how much weight did you have to lose? 100 lbs or more? Just like you said, each person loses at different rates, it sounds like you're doing very well as far as weight loss goes. Just keep doing what you're suppose to do. You really do have to give yourself a year to lose majority of your weight. Hang in There!!
