Pig Out?
So, I have this question and I am rather embarassed to post it. However, I trust you all or at least some of you were in the same position as I am so I will go for it.
As I take steps closer to having the surgery (Dr. Curry said maybe in the beginning of July). I have decided that I need to go out to restaurants and eat all of the things that I will not longer be able to eat. Or I get home and think OMG I need to eat that, I won't be able to again. Did anyone else find themselves doing this? I am really almost Pigging out. Not that I am eating so much it is disturbing just, I have made an excuse that it is okay.
Is this normal? Do I need to get this under control like yesterday? Please let me know your thoughts.
As always, thank you all for your amazing support and responses.
Heather,
I don't know if this normal but I sure piged out.
I PIGED OUT BIG TIME!!!!!! I don't like to admit it but I did. Each day I ate something I knew I cound not have after surgery. I was really into bakery items. Donuts, turnovers, coffee cake, etc. Each day I would eat something sweet. I knew I wouldn't be able to eat Potatoe Skins from TGIFriday's any more, so we went there for dinner one night and I ordered skins as my meal.
I don't know if this is the right or wrong thing to do. For me it was the right thing to do. For me it made dealing with the lose of 'food for comfort' a lot easier for ME.
Good Luck,

Heather,
Bet you forgot that I read this board!
Here are 2 things to remember:
1. every pound you gain increases the risk of the operation
2. if your BMI goes up too much you won't be a lap candidate
Instead of pigging out focus your energy on exercising which will DECREASE your risk (granted, it's a lot less fun, though)
