June 11th...so close but so far away!
I am a frequest visitor to this message board, but I hardly ever post. I have seen others announce that they have a date for surgery...and it's finally my turn! I met with my surgeon, Dr. Muscarella at OSU, and we scheduled June 11th. We are going to go with the open procedure (I had my heart set on lap). I am just so overwhelmed with the idea that my life is getting ready to change...and I am so giddy about it that I can't hardly stand it! Woohooooooooo!

Yee Hawwww. Now is the time to start preparing. Give up the caffeine and start drinking water. Start trying protein supplements but get samples because your tastes will change. Stop smoking if you do. Build your habits now. Ask lots of questions. We are here to support you. Here is a Cincinnati group that has lots of information.
Congratulations
Soon you will be on the Lighter Side

Hi Amy
I'm 26, will be 27 in September. I had surgery at OSU last April with Dr. Cook. The person who I met who told me about OSU doing the surgery had Dr. Muscarella, but I thought he wasn't there anymore...guess he's back!

I graduate with my Masters Degree on June 11th...have lots of work to do before then...so it can be farther away for me.
