Today has been a absolute beautiful day. I have spent all day with my daughter getting ready for her prom (first prom)! First nice breakfast, then hair appt, then a little time to relax, then to the young man's home for dinner. The young man looked very handsome in his tux! He cooked dinner for her and and another couple that are going with them. Then his parents will take them to the prom!! My daughter is so beautiful inside and out!! And yes lots and lots of pics. Tomorrow is Mother's Day, I am really looking forward to another wonderful relaxing day. Then the big day for MYSELF!!! SURGERY IS MONDAY MAY 10TH AT 2PM!! I love you all and hope you are having a wonderful weekend and Happy Mother's Day to all moms!!! I could use all the prayers I can get for Monday. My computer crashed and burned, so I am over to my brothers posting on his computer, so if I do not get to post again before surgery, thank you all for your advice and your time to help with questions!!! God Bless to you, Hugs and prayers Deb H

What a wonderful weekend for you, and then the BIG DAY. Congratulations and all the best. My son went to prom with his girlfriend, who is a senior(my son graduated from the same school 2 years ago), so this is my "last prom". They have been doing a Circle Prom for many years. All the kids get to school about 5:30PM, where all parents take multiple pictures, and we get to see all the kids dressed up. ( I could not believe some of the dresses! Absolutely beautiful!) They board motor coaches to a country club, dinner and dancing until midnight. Then the motor coaches bring the kids back to school, where they change clothes (all have to pack a bag with a change of clothes) about midnight. The school has been transformed for them - the theme this year is Disney, and the cafeteria was decorated like a castle, with different booths - including Pooh's treehouse - with different foods and drinks. (We parents started decorating at 3:30 on Friday and stayed until about 1:00AM, and another crew came in to finish Sat morning!) The classrooms are set up for different games, and they get the inflatable stuff the kids can bounce around in, big tricycles on a race course in the gym, etc. Even groups of parents decorate the bathrooms! You would not elieve some of the stuff they do with lights and ballons and material. The kids can leave at 4:00AM. They start with the group, and stay with the group from start to finish, so there is no chance of drinking or getting into an accident getting to and from the big dance. I hope your daughter had a beautiful evening and I am sending you prayers for a safe journey on Monday and beyond! Sue

My son's prom was last night. I played the cool Dad but his Mom followed him to get pictures. I hope I get details.
