I'm going for my eval in 3 weeks, but I'm a little concerned about this big test I have to take. What if I flunk it and they say I'm not a good candidate? What were your experiences with this test?

Tracy-The test is not that complicated. I know each doctor is different. In my case they asked me to explain the surgery and what I expected to get out of the surgery. He also asked about a support system at home. There were some questions to deal with what I had done in the past to loose weight. I say don't stress it and come in prepared with all the knowledge you have accumulated about the surgery and you should be fine. In my case there was no written test. In any case keep your chin up and look at the final prize. Best wishes and I hope this helped.

I just finished my evaluation last week and got the results back. The psychologist did have some concerns because of previous problems I had experienced with depression and anxiety. His only requirement for me to be approved for surgery is that I follow up with therapy on a regular basis throughout the process. The evaluation itself isn't bad...the most important thing is to answer the questions honestly, because the test will know if you aren't being sincere. My evaluation had 532 questions on it, and took about an hour to complete...all questions were yes or no questions. I hope this helps relieve some of your concerns...it's really not that bad. Good luck!!
