split pea soup okay?

Dumb question... I have not had surgery yet, but I was wondering if when you are on soft foods, if homemade split pea soup is okay? Thanks, Jen

It's a lot of carbs but I have it as a treat. it is a comfort food for me. I still have to chew the ham and mush the carrots in it though. I use campbells because it is creamier. I love pea soup especialy when I watch the Exorcist
