MILD SLEEP APNEA...?
Hi gang. Have a question for any of you. I went and had my sleep test done on the 16th and it has come back as a mild case of sleep apnea, any of you have mild as well ? I could swear I had it worse than that because of how horrible I feel all the time. (tired, a.m. headaches, fatigued-even after a nap). When I was taking the study I could not sleep and was very uncomfortable in the bed, so I did a LOT of tossing and turning and just staying on my side...I do notice (along with everyone else) that I just snore on my back- it seems and when I wake up really feeing like crap I wake up on my back! So, I guess I am asking if any of you had the test done again because you really couldn't sleep for the test?
Thanks,
Jennifer
Hi Jennifer, Funny how those things go. When I had the test I did not think I had any problems. I just took the test for the surgery. They told me that the sleep apnea was mild also but that I still required the sleep machine. YUCK! But I also did not sleep well there. I did not know that you could take Tylenol PM while there. When I went back to be put on the machine, I took the medicine with me. The results of the tests have a lot to do with your oxygen levels. I think if the test came back that you don't need the machine be happy. Lets face it the weight has a lot to do with the problems of sleeping as well as the lack of oxygen. Best of luck with your surgery. Do you have a date yet?
Debbie,
No, no date set for surgery yet. I am hoping it will take less time than the 6 months I was told it could take... I am not quite sure how long it will take to get approved from my insurance (IF they even will)!
I wish I would have known about the medicine, nobody told me I could have taken something, oh well, at least it is done and over with ! I am glad that I don't have to be put on the machine though, I have enough of a hard time sleeping as it is! LOL
