I went to the dietician today to get the bad news. As many of you know I do not own a scale so I can only weigh at GNC or at the doctors. And since GNC instituted the cothing mandatory policy it is out Anyhow I got on the scale and it went to 299 lbs. Since the surgery 05/22/03 I have lost 169 lbs and 223 since my highest weight. I could not have done this without all of your support. I am floating. I have not weighed that less since 1983. I just had to share and I don't mean to make anybody feel bad.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You should be sooo proud of yourself. That is fantastic and a lot of hard work on your part. You are the inspiration that keeps us pre ops going. Why should anyone feel bad because you have had such great success. Be proud of yourself. We are so proud of you.

Hello and Happy New Year to you. Today, the first day of 2004, I accidentally found this website and while looking around have read several of your comments to people as well as some of your history. CONGRATULATIONS. You've done so well. I am sure you will reach your goal, when it gets rough don't forget the word PATIENCE. My insurance does not cover ANYTHING related to the word OBESITY. I always have to be careful when seeing any physician that the lead never has to do with my being overweight or they won't cover anything. How terribly disappointing. I did see something about H.B. 4 which I plan to check out, but I don't think it will help me. I think I'm presently looking for a miracle or a magic pill to take. I'll be following your progress, have a wonderful NEW life. Best wishes. M.A. Young

Here is something to consider. You may not be obese but morbidly obese. That is a big difference. Check that part out. I know my ins company now has a specific exclusion for bypass surgery. If it does not say morbid obesity you may have a chance. Start your research and ifkeep posting.
