Any Med. Mutuals' changed procedures and surgeons after approval?

Has anybody who's insured with Med. Mutual ever been approved for one procedure and hospital and then changed, for one reason or another, to then want a different procedure (like RNY to DS) and change facilities also?

If you change procedures, you will have to go through the approval process again since some insurances don't cover all procedures (Aetna only covers RNY and in some cases the band). I would assume that you would also have to go through approval again for the surgeon/facility if you change from in-network to out of network. Good Luck.
