I just wanted to post and let anyone know what a great experience I had at my sleep center/hotel (lol) when I went! I know alot of people aren't really excited about going to a sleep center to stay the night in an un-comfortable place. I went to Mason, Ohio, right of I-71 to Sleep Care Diagnostics in mid-September and met with Dr. Javaheri for my first initial consultation. He came himself to get me from the waiting room to bring me to his office. I told him how I was meeting with my surgeon the first time the next week to talk about WLS and my primary doctor thought I should see him about how I was feeling tired all the time. He was very supportive of my decision, took all my surgeons information down, and took alot of quality time with me. He then again restated everything we talked about to keep it on record to make sure he sent it to my PCP and to my surgeon. I was scheduled quickly for that weekend to come back in for my sleep study. He also took me personally to the lady that would give me my tour of the facilities. It was beautiful! An extremely beautiful setting room, with a wonderful patio. The rooms were all set up as hotel rooms, and didn't look at all like I was expecting, it looked like a normal bedroom. They asked me what time I normally would go to bed, and asked me to arrive an hour early so I could get setteled in and do my nomral routine to settle down before bed. I arrived that weekend at 10, with tons of things to do for the next day since I would be staying for the day study also. I watched some television, had some juice that they provide from the cute, modern kitchenette, and then they asked that whenever I was ready for bed to let them know and they would begin. Everyone was so sweet, always asking if you needed anything. They made you feel so comfortable, even though you are hooked to so many wires, you really feel as if you are being tucked in. I had forgotten may fan that I HAVE to sleep with everynight, but no fear, they quickly found me one and brought it to my room, with another juice at my request. The beds were great, extra blankets, and you can even bring a spouse if you can't sleep without them. If you need anything during the night, you just push a button, and they were there within 5 seconds! I only had to use the bathroom once. They have a big room, where they have atleast 6 people I saw working and watching you all night to make sure everything is taken care. They make sure you know you don't have to worry, you can toss and turn, they can lenghten the wires so you are comfortable, and don't have to worry about sleeping a certain way. In the morning when they wake you eat a great breakfast!! They have everything in that fridge! Biscuits...waffles, cereal, poptarts, bagels, fruit bars! I took a nap every hour and a half, they would come and get me and ask me if I was ready for my nap. Of course I was, and slept every one of them. I had a great mini-vacation! Me and another guy, watched movies all day wrapped up in blankets. They will change the heat if you want, it's all what you want. No one bothers you, just wants to know if you are comfortable. Then we had a great lunch, that they paid for....larosa's! It was really the best hotel experience I have ever had! When I went back to find out my results within a week, he had already sent the results to the surgeon that morning, he's always on top of things, which I love! I know he takes lots of different insurances, and on my recent appointment, nothing ever changes, he always wants to help. Although I didn't have sleep apnea, I am on provigil, b/c I sleep too much, going to sleep everytime within 2 min., and it's helps so much, he thinks with WLS it will be sure to go away. He is very supportive of WLS, so I think that is great! He even recommended it to me, before I told him I was already in the process! I know this was really long, but I just wanted to let everyone know there was a really great place out there, and if anyone needs a night away..this is the place to go...and they don't care about snoring, they encourage it, lol! The only thing that stinks is that gook in your hair, I don't think I got it all out for two days!

I had my sleep study done there two years ago, and my husband had his a few weeks later. I agree with Mandy. Dr. Javaheri was so kind, compassionate, and efficient. Every single person in his office was absolutely wonderful and supportive. Both my husband and I have sleep apnea, and they worked with us to be sure we had just the right equipment so that we would be able to adjust to using the CPAP and sleep comfortably. I would recommend them to anyone!
